Pastoral Issues

This page is set aside for pastoral and spiritual issues concerned with the Catholic faith. As one noted Catholic Apologist once remarked: "The importance of conventional apologetics is rather negligible. Apologetics is scraping the bottom of the barrel as far as spiritual warfare is concerned." In other words, it is the Spirit which gives life and truth. It is the lessons learned from the Holy Spirit which cause us to grow in faith - not simply engaging in cerebral gymnastics with our opponents. Regular contributors to this page include Charlie Hatchko and Chris Beneteau.

Allah Keep Our Land Glorious and Free?
Despite the myopia of the secularist baboons in our culture, spirituality abhors a vacuum and needs to be filled. Evangelization Without Saying A Word
Chris Beneteau writes how just showing up with your family at a local McDonald's restaurant can be an effecitive means of evangelization. Increasingly, those who practice an authentic Catholicism are very conspicuous indeed. In Chris' case, all he has to do is show his family in public and the contraceptionist tongues start wagging. (Beneteau - 10KB - 03.11)

Creation: God's Living Book
The culture of death is dying a slow, screeching death. As bizarre as it may sound, we are dealing with a straw house which is about to be blown away by the Catholic Church and the New Civilization of Life. In this installment of Il Nuncio, we are pleased to present a visually stimulating experience to our visitors. Recent convert and amateur photographer, Daniel Hopper, gives us a glimpse of God's glorious creation. In the end, creation and hope will win out over destruction and desolation. A Challenge to Canada's Bishops
The time for inaction is over. The Canadian hierarchy must act to preserve the Catholic identity of the Church and save Canadian society. With the accelerated advance of the culture of death, the largely slow, lethargic and ineffective reaction of Canada's bishops has been bitterly disappointing. It's time for the bishops of the Catholic Church to stand up and show some real courage. Click above to read our ideas on what the bishops need to do to rescue Canadian civilization from moral and civil anarchy. (Pacheco - 13KB - 03.10)

A Defense of Christian Contemporary Music
Canadian Catholic Musician and Evangelist, David MacDonald, gives a Traditionalist his opinion of Christian contemporary music. Naturalness, Secularity and Personal Apostolate
Anthony Schratz shows us how the Catholic layperson can have a real impact on today's secular culture. Ironically, it is not by being overtly "religious-looking", but rather by going undercover and covertly undermining the preconceptions of unbelievers. Instead of the trite and quick fix approach, the Catholic way is to blend in and slowly infiltrate the culture and bring it back to Christ. Seemingly benign, innocuous, and innocent, this approach is the death blow to anti-religious secularity. 007 eat your heart out. (Schratz - 53KB - 03.02)
