The Noose Tightens

From Phil Lees…

The following is not an education issue, but it does potentially affect all people of faith and where they will be allowed to meet for worship.

The City of Toronto is expanding a by-law to prevent places of worship in all areas of the city zoned commercial or light-industrial (includes industrial strip malls where many churches are located).
If Toronto is able to accomplish this, other cities will begin to impose similar limitations.
Attend the Faith Coalition Meeting,
January 31st, 2013
The Peoples Church
374 Sheppard Avenue East
Toronto, ON (Map)
7:00 pm – 8:00 pm UPDATE on City Issues
8:00 pm – 9:30 pm PRAYER
Please see details below.
I cannot emphasize enough that this will affect all people of faith in the near future – please attend, learn, and respond.
Sincerely,
Phil Lees

  1. There is no reason why “commercial or light industrial” areas cannot have churches—it doesn’t even interfere with commercial traffic, for churches are only busy on a Sunday morning! It is militant secularism on the march; so obvious to anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear. You’re quite right in titling this post “The noose tightens.”
