The Anti-Church of Antonio Gramsci

Liberation theology based on Marxist doctrines and cloaked in Christian vocabulary became a force in many third-world nations.  Though it retreated somewhat after the fall of the Soviet Union, it remains the basic social template among radicals. Malachi Martin observed that “Liberation theology was a perfectly faithful exercise of Gramsci’s principles. . . . It stripped . . . any attachment to Christian transcendence.  It locked both the individual and his culture in the close embrace of a goal that was totally immanent: the class struggle for socio-political liberation.” (Source)

Never heard of Antonio Gramsci, but we have all now experienced his poison, not the least of which has been our experience with Development & Peace.

It’s amazing how our spiritual leaders could be so blind to let the snake enter the garden, never mind keep slithering once it’s been exposed.

Read the whole article.  It’s basically the playbook on the demise of the West and the Church.

  1. Liberation theology is not just a “force in many third-world nations”. Let’s not forget that one of the greatest threats to freedom of all time, Barack Obama, spent 20 years in the so-called church of “Rev.” Wright in Chicago, U.S.A. I have seen several videos of Obama promoting “collective salvation”.

  2. Obama used Alinsky’s methods, was a disciple of Alinsky who in turn was a disciple of Gramsci. If you google Obama, Alinsky and Gramsci you will find a lot of material.

““Obama learned his lesson well. I am proud to see that my father’s model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing to affect the Democratic campaign in 2008. It is a fine tribute to Saul Alinsky as we approach his 100th birthday.” –Letter from L. DAVID ALINSKY, son of Neo-Marxist Saul Alinsky”
