Carleton University’s Tears & Tyranny

The Commissars of Censorship U. are tripping all over themselves.  Initially, they told Carleton LifeLine that they were denied the space because of offensive content, then later one of their more shrewd operators figured out that that wasn’t such a good PR line for a genuine University (for obvious reasons) so they subsequently changed their story.   The new trial balloon offered floats the idea that the students were denied the space because the “Quad” (the location where the students wanted to setup their display) was not open to group exhibits. But that reason, we’re now all finding out, doesn’t square with the timeline or the facts, as reported here by LSN.

You know, folks, these Administrators are paid a big socialist buck to run these Academic ghettos, but their pathetic performance so far, and their major PR fumbling of this issue, is making them look like amateurs and the pro-abort bullies that they are – desperate to keep a lid on the debate and the truth of what abortion is.

This is a small point which I am sure is escaping the notice of the Commissars at Censorship U., but I think it should not be lost sight of by the rest of us.  What has the debate been about so far?  Has anyone said, “Hey, man, there’s a lot of discussion about freedom of speech and university rules on where you can put signs, but has anyone actually looked at the signs and asked a very simple question:  is that what abortion is?  Why, I wonder, doesn’t anyone want to discuss THAT issue?  Isn’t that  the real question?”

Are the pictures true?

That’s the question. And if they are true, then just why the hell is Carleton University and its hired thugs trying suppress it? That’s another important question to ask about the motives and the mentality of Censorship U. Authorities.

But our government and academic organs don’t make judicial decisions based on the truth anymore.  They make their decisions on who offended whom.    The offensiveness given might be justified. It might also be based on incontrovertible evidence.  None of that matters.  At Carleton University, if you offend someone, your right to speak your mind at a publicly financed institution is handcuffed and herded into the wagons.  And it’s not an indiscriminate sort of offending, either.  You won’t see, for instance, a pro-abort student having his right to expression suppressed.  If that were to happen, well, we’d all be in the slammer except the Polyannas among us.  At Censorship U., however, only feminist tears count when it comes to being offended in the eyes of the law.

That might sound great to the totalitarian Left, but when another person’s tears and guilt become the basis to fine and arrest the students of a university, that university ceases to be a university and becomes a symbol of tyranny instead.

Now that’s something to really cry about.

  1. Real science proves unborn babies are human being that deserve our protection and not capital punishment.

Former university programmed abortionist Dr.Bernard Nathanson says, “real-time ultrasound, gives a moving picture of the child in the womb; electronic heart monitoring, detects fetal heartbeats, brainwave monitors, measure brain activity, fetoscopy, allows a physician to actually eyeball the baby, simply astounded him.
Such techniques as cordocentesis allow medical diagnosis, treatment and surgery in utero.”

“There was nothing religious about it I finally came to the conviction that this was my patient. This was a person! This was purely a change of mind as a result of fantastic science and technology.”

Dr. Nathanson fastened an ultrasound machine to a woman undergoing an actual abortion, and produced ” SILENT SCREAM”, a film that justly horrified the nation. It showed the fetus trying desperately to move away from the vacuum, and then shows its body parts successively sucked off. The film produced a massive campaign of defamation against Dr. Nathanson from pro-abortionists.

This only made him more determined, then he decided to show an abortion from inside the womb. He attached a camera to a fetoscope and inserted it during a D&E abortion. The resulting film was “ECLIPSE OF REASON”, and that is what abortion is.

Abortion is the murder of babies in the womb! Please stop killing them Canada and stop teaching our university students that what is legal is moral! It is legal because it is taught in our universities to all professions, Lawyers, Judges, Physicians and everyone.

  2. What a sad mess our universities have become. They should all be ashamed of themselves, as I am. When my children were born, my wife and I had hopes of a good university education for them. Now I’m not so sure if that would be best.

  3. Daniel and his friends were captured and educated by the Chaldeans. But this only made them stronger. In a democracy the citizens who allow this to go on are helping the tyrants. Get involved in politics and prayer, then help traditionalist politicians who know how to teach the truth in love and reason get elected, and help them to pass reasonable Bills into law in our Legislatures and Parliament. Professor Tom Landers taught me to do this in the university. I believe that is what Ruth is doing today. Where are the Christians that ought to be helping her in the university, courts and government? Most Nicolaitans call themselves Christians. Professor Tom Landers and friends helped raise the age of sex consent in Canada by uniting social conservatives. We need our scholars too.

  4. Why is this article headed by a “Vote O’Brien” banner, as if Mayor O’Brien was a champion of pro-life causes or something?

O’Brien has gone on record saying he wants marijuana decriminalizaed and he got elected under the shadow of some financial wheeling and dealing that looked suspect.

  5. Marilyn you can post your comments about O’Brien I believe right under the banner. This post is about Ruth and Tyranny. Blessings.

  6. Truth on University campuses is a prisoner and our system of law and justice has become perverted. I believe these courageous pro-life students were victims of a hate crime as is the unborn. I sum it all up in my article below.

The Hate Crime That Goes Unpunished
    By Stephen J. Gray

In our society today there are victims who get no justice, no protection from the law, are deemed unwanted, and are therefore candidates for killing. This killing is state sanctioned and carried out by trained assassins who get paid for their grisly work. One of these workers in the fields of bloody human butchery even received his country’s highest award for his “accomplishments.” Some in the media even called him a “hero,” and some decent people who spoke out against this perversion of the political order were vilified for daring to speak out.

Speaking out or daring to show pictures of these innocent butchered hate crime victims can get one arrested or disciplined by the powers that be in this hypocrisy of a “free country.” Still, this country does have a “Charter of Rights” that allows criminals protection who land on its shores, orgies are okay as long as “no harm” is done, the perverts work has “artistic merit” and judges can “read in” words not written in the constitution. Debasement, depravity and distortion have become legitimate; therefore, it should be no surprise that ethics and morality in the land have become twisted judicially and politically.

Politicians bend to the cries of the harridans of “choice” who consider it a “right” to kill the child in the womb. Many of these politicians stand for nothing and will say and do anything to get elected. Most of them boast they are in favor of “freedom of choice” to kill the unwanted child in the womb. One even reportedly said that he would never allow a vote to stop the killing of these innocents who are unwanted. Another politician even described the slaughter of these innocent victims as “safe medical services.” One wonders what is “safe” about cutting to pieces, poisoning by a saline solution, having a sharp knife pierce the brain of the living victim and suctioning out his/her brain? Some of these hate crime victims have even been known to survive the attacks by the medical butchers and have been born alive but are left to die.

This is a country with a dead conscience. Except of course if it is dead slaughtered seals, eagles, whales, owls, dogs, cats, horses, ducks, grizzly bears etc. then all hell breaks loose if it is seen that that these non-humans have been subject to cruel and atrocious practices. (and rightly so.) Numerous written media and TV programmes will display and publicize the attacks and killing of these non-humans. But, the hate crimes against the humans who are unwanted and slaughtered are covered up by the so-called “investigative media.” No pictures are shown, the victims are hidden and this abominable criminal slaughter is called a “choice,” and one might say it is aided and abetted by these phony media who are supposed to be “searchers for truth.”

Truth has become a prisoner and is gagged and bound by those who should be protecting it. There is an evil loose in the land and this evil allows the continued extermination of these voiceless innocents who are unwanted. This hate crime agenda goes unpunished and the guilty roam free in this perverted land.

  7. I weep and cry everyday an night about the babies killed from abortion.
I also carry a photo of a live baby before abortion and one after being aborted on the other side of my Silent No More “I regret my abortion”
    Sign.

I am able and do continue to try to witness at least 3 times a week at the Bank St. site. and am finding that the more I do it, the more God places it on my heart the paramount importance of our (Pro-Lifers) suiting up and showing up. God sees and so do the babies.

I can’t help but wonder if some people had been there praying and witnessing and sidewalk counciling the day I went to have mine at the hospital, if I would have gone through with it.

I did not know nor want to think about it, I was too full of fear, self hate
and assured that no one could help me nor want to help me especially
if I had to tell them I was afraid I had given my child fetal alcohol syndrome! I thought I was a shameful loser who had now poisoned her child. I was VERY lost. I wonder if kind people such as Doris or someone who’d “been there, done that” was reaching out a hand of hope and help if I would have taken it. I certainly did not want to have the abortion, I just could not see any alternative as I was living in a world of lies on top of lies.

I now know and will suffer at some level always for what I did, and the sorrow never truly leaves one, (how could it?) after realizing what i did and
the torture inflicted on my baby, as a result of me giving into to fear, lies
and ultimately the darkness of death.

No one can know what the years of regret do to a woman when she comes to terms with the “choice” to end he baby’s life, except the
the women who have fallen for the greatest lie ever know to humanity so cleverly appealing to the worst of one’s nature the putting of one’s self before another, in this case one’s own innocent baby.

The evil one always is attempting to draw us to our own self preservation,
even at the expense of mankind in general. In fact that is his devious plan.

God help us and Have Mercy.

    Frances Wilkinson

I am pleased to see many people down witnessing and praying during the 40
day for life campaign. I hope people continue to come after the campaign ends because it does make a difference, and when God sees that people
continue and persist and persevere, in prayer and witnessing His Truth, until we see the abortion mills close, and people even converting who work and use them, He Will be very Pleased and know we Trust Him and that indeed this giant which we His children allowed to happen in the first place
    can be defeated.

It is hard to see the deception in its ugly reality and we must pray against the spiritual forces behind it , and be vigilant and serious in our efforts.

Fasting is important, if we can, but meantime I hope more people continue
to come and pray on Bank St., as well as the hospitals and other places where abortion takes place , or is arranged.

We must know that we will win this war, as long as we continue praying and showing up. I cannot emphasize enough, the importance of prayer and informing the public by pictures and statistics the horror and sheer population decline resulting from the murder of the most Blessed Innocents.

But if we don’t do it, who will?

  8. Today our universities do not teach anything resembling neutral scholarship. They teach love without meaning (Kinsey Sex Education), and murder without guilt ( abortion) by court enforcement and government decree. In a democracy the citizens are responsible for electing the politicians who pass Bills into law in our Legislatures and Parliament. If you do not wake up and get involved in politics you are responsible for the tyranny that is happening in Canada. Professor Tom Landers has spent his life trying to teach this to the church. Please wake up. If you don’t who will?

  9. When moral relativism becomes entrenched as the enforced policy model, you have, as an example, Carleton University’s policies on wrong-think.

How can this cancer of relativism-as-fiat be removed, without radical amputation?

As Canadians we love to believe we all live in a “free society.” Carleton University’s governors, by outrages against decency like this, prove not only that we already live in totalitarian state, but that these revisionist “academics” will actively enforce stamping on a human face with a jackboot, forever.

The question is why? How does paying a police constable to cuff a girl carrying an offensive photo serve a worthy purpose?

When was the last time Carleton had anyone else arrested for peaceably calling attention to a certain realities?

How does Carleton Chancellor Herb Gray defend this institutionalized punishment of wrong-think?

How does Carleton president O’Reilly Runte intend to make sure that no such offence is ever carried out again?

They either have to ban arrests for possessing disbarred images or they have to ban arrests for wrong-think. Those are her only choices. The point of wrong-think is that it can’t be banned.

At what point shall Gray and O’Reilly Runte become authors of evil through inaction?

Why does the press ask nothing of them?

The University’s website offers only a link to its current butterfly exhibition.

  10. Thanks Kevin.
Sadly, I think Carleton’s reaction stems from the precedent set by Ottawa U last spring in the Ann Coulter fiasco. It got a lot of negative press, but in the end, did the university really pay any price? I don’t think so. Carleton figured it could get away with it and they did.
