Subject: Request by Barbara Kay of National Post re books in public libraries

Dear Friends:

The powerful missive by John Pacheco (pacheco@catholic-legate.com) I sent you first thing this morning re the filth in Ottawa Public Library got my blood boiling….how dare these filthy-minded idiotic irresponsible lefty-liberals in public libraries (& elsewhere) pollute the minds of our innocent children while they keep out wholesome life-enriching wisdom-enhancing conservative books!!!…so, I shot off Pacheco’s missive to everyone on my extensive list, and I must humbly & truthfully say, I have many movers & shakers on my list….including Barb Kay (bkay@videotron.ca) of the National Post whose superb “must-read” essay on this subject I posted the other day….she replied right away and below is her reply & request:

<><>
P.S: Methinks it’s a very good idea if each of us go down to the public library in our own area and find out all about the filthy books & liberal books stocked by our public libraries & see if they stock conservative books as well (hint: I guarantee they won’t stock Mark Steyn) etc….kindly send your findings to Barbara Kay (with copies to me)…thanks

So no conservative books but plenty of “alternative” reading for kids. This is librarians’ idea of freedom of expression: shut down conservative political thinking, open the door to pornography for kids. Tell Mr Pacheco to direct his wrath to the Ontario Librarian Association. I am saving this for a future column, and would appreciate updates on other materials like this to be found in public libraries, thanks, Barb
