Pulling the Plug

Just wanted to let my readers know that I will be taking an extended vacation from blogging and activism for the indefinite future. In fact, I will likely close up shop entirely in a month or so.
I can no longer justify the time I spend being a super duper socon power ranger. 🙂

It really comes down to marginal benefits and marginal costs. At this point in my life with four young girls to raise and teach in the faith vs. a culture bent on killing itself, it’s a no brainer as to where I should be spending my time. The culture is going to hell no matter what I say or what I do and no matter what you say or what you do. That’s just the reality. So why bother? If I was single and had no kids, it might be rather fun to keep doing this as a hobby, but I don’t do this stuff for fun. I do it for results. And if I have to choose between forming my own children and hitting my head against a liberal wall, I’ll chose the former thank you very much. The wall is going to crumble one day, that is for sure. It’s just that it won’t be my head doing the knocking. Somebody else can do it.

In fact, to be completely honest with you, if I had to do it over again these past 4 years, I wouldn’t have done it the way that I did. In fact, I wouldn’t have done it at all. That might sound kind of defeatest, but I’m just calling it the way I see it.

God has called many people in this country to be leaders in many areas for His greater glory. They have passed on the call to our everlasting shame and disgrace. Instead, people like myself, who are much less qualified and much less talented, tried to fill in the gaps here and there, but in the end, the result has been well below what is required.

Sometimes it’s better to let the whole thing just collapse instead of delaying the inevitable.

As Christ told Judas, “What you are about to do, do it quickly.”

Amen to that.
