Message from Carleton LifeLine

Dear Supporters,

I cannot thank you enough for all the support that has been shed on Carleton Lifeline these past 3 weeks. I speak on behalf of the 5 arrested when I say that we are eternally grateful for the outpouring of love that we have received. For every slandering or hurtful remark we have endured, one of you has been there to remind us that we do have support and that the work we are doing is good: that our sacrifice was worth it.

Many of you have been asking how you can support those arrested in the work that we are doing. I appreciate your patience in regards to these matters. We have finally come to a decision on where to go legally and activism-wise on campus.

Each student was fined $130 each for trespassing. Carleton Lifeline has decided to fight these charges and have them overturned. A lawyer has agreed to work with us and for us during our impending legal battle. Albertos Polizogopoluos, our lawyer, has agreed to work with us probono. However, we would like to provide him with as much support as possible as he has worked very hard for us over the last few months. As such, we have begun to fundraise for our legal fees that we will incur in defense of the charges, whatever that may entail.

Please visit: for full details on how to donate to Lifeline and specifically to our Defense Fund. Any financial help would be greatly appreciated as it would help Lifeline pursue justice for the pre-born, and help all pro life clubs fight for life on Campus. It is imperative to understand that what happened to Carleton Lifeline is only a small part of a much bigger issue at hand: that is, one side of the debate is being silenced across Canada. In turn, the lives of many are being lost. Carleton Lifeline’s goal is is to set new standards and precedents through their case. If you are able, please consider standing in solidarity with us financially and otherwise.

Carleton Lifeline will continue to provide a pro-life presence on Campus. Their educational activities will continue to include graphic imagery because it is one of many strategies that has proven to be an effective method of drawing pro choice individuals into conversations: they simply cannot ignore the evidence of an already existing truth. Please pray for Lifeline and for the Carleton campus as a whole. This is only the beginning of a long battle for truth and justice.

We are merely a small group of students humbly fighting for justice and the voiceless. Please join us in the fight. . As Margaret Mead once said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”

Please do not hesitate to circulate this email to all who would be interested in supporting Carleton Lifeline in their efforts to be a voice for the voiceless and a beacon of truth. Thank you again for being so wonderful and loving!

In Life,

Ruth Lobo

President of Carleton Lifeline
