Head of Quebec ob/gyns expresses discomfort for late-term abortions

“It is not a question of legality, they are infanticides,” Dr. Isabelle Girard told Le Journal de Montreal on November 12. “A child at 36 weeks to whom you decide to give an intracardial injection so the heart stops beating and then induce labor, is infanticide. … The child could have been given to a family for adoption.” (Source)

Very good. What about a child at 35 weeks? Any different? How ’bout 34 weeks? 33? What about from the moment the baby is viable outside the womb (roughly 21 weeks)?

It’s good to see that conscience and sanity have not been completely aborted from these doctors’ minds.  But they need to be honest with themselves about their arbitrary and meaningless thresholds.
