The very lengthy rebuttal to Fr. Rosica did not, to me, have the “odour of sanctity” to it. It sounded agressively hostile. While i sympathize with those who miss and want to have available to them the beautiful Roman rite liturgies, and with those who are indignant about priests taking it upon themselves to change the wording during Mass, this type of letter does not argue well for those people. Read the documents of the Church against heresies (Ireneaus, Tertullian etc) and the various encyclicals, and you will find a completely different TONE to their rebuttals of error. A tone of truth, peace and charity.
