Followers, friends and family paid their respects to a man who fiercely fought to defend medically assisted death, homosexuality, the place of women in the Church and the ordination of married people. He also supported the late abortionist Dr. Henry Morgentaler’s nomination to the Order of Canada.
Besides the twilight zone we are living in to celebrate the death of a man who advocated for the sins that cry out to heaven for justice, it is a great tragedy indeed that no one in the Church accepted the responsibility of correcting this man. LifeSiteNews did by reporting on what he said and they were sued for it by Fr. Gravel.
I’m not sure which is the greater tragedy, frankly, Fr. Gravel’s opposition to Christ or the Church that allowed it to happen.
Catholics are becoming a minority in their own Church. Shades of the days of Arius.
