For Many - For All!

by Charles Hatchko

Matthew 26:27-28 Jesus exhorts, All of you drink of this; for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is being shed for many unto the forgiveness of sins.

Mark 14:23-24 And taking a cup and giving thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank from it; and he said to them; This is my blood of the new covenant which is being shed for many.

Luke 22:20 In like manner he took also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which shall be shed for you.

Sedevacantists are individuals who believe that, at the present time, the Papal seat of St. Peter is vacant. Integrists are fanatical right wing traditionalists. Most are in material heresy regarding Church doctrines. One of the doctrines is the change of words in the consecration of the Eucharist from "many" to "all". Sedevacantists and many Integrists believe that the change of words in the consecration in the Novus Ordo Missae is invalid because of the new form of consecration with adds the words "for all" in the confecting of the bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ. Pope Paul VI in 1969 changed the words of consecration from "many" to "all" and the Sedevacantists and Integrists claim this makes the consecration an invalid consecration.

Three things are required for the validity of a Sacrament. "Matter, Form and Intention." The change from many to all does not invalidate the Sacrament. Latin qui pro vobis et pro multis effund, tur in remissionem peccatorum! Father Marshal Roberts from the Society of St. John has taught that the validity of a Sacrament comes from three things. Matter, Form, and Intention. He also stated that the words changing from "for many" to "for all" does not invalidate the Sacrament of the Eucharist. It may be a bad translation, but it does not invalidate the Sacrament. St. Michael's Church is run by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter. The Reverend Peter M.J. Stravinskas PH.D., S.T.L. Editor of the Catholic Encyclopedia who celebrates the Novus Ordo Mass stated that three things validate a Sacramen:. Matter, Form and Intention. Also, the change of the words from "many" to "all" does not invalidate the Sacrament.

Sedevacantist and Integrists make false allegations and attack the official position of the Church regarding no salvation outside the Church coming from the Second Vatican Council. This conflicts with the teaching of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Sedevacantists reject the new Catechism of the Catholic Church regarding the issue of no salvation outside the Church. Look at the following pages and texts of the new Catechism of the Catholic Church. Text 836 to 848. Page 222 to 224. Texts 1257 to 1261. Pages 320-321. The Sevdevacantist claim has no merit since the words to all from many does not change matter or form or intention. No Pope or official Church teaching conflicts with the change of wording and therefore makes the Integrist and Sedevacantist allegations absolute falsehood.

In Matthew 26:28 and Mark 14:24 In Christ's prayer of consecration, the Lord Jesus Christ uses the following words, "All of you drink of this; for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is being shed for many unto the forgiveness of sins. Christ uses the words for many in these Biblical text but does not use the words for many in his prayer of consecration in the gospel of Luke.

In Luke 22:20 Look at the word in the prayer of consecration. This Biblical text states, In like manner he also took the cup after the supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which shall be shed for you." Notice Christ does not use the words "For Many" or "For All". No Pope or Church Council has given a definitive declaration that the words of the consecration formula should include the words "For Many". No Papal or concilar dogma teaches the words "for many" should be used and the words "for all" is absolutely heretical and negates the consecration.

Look at the explanation of these words, and the words used by Bishop Fulton J. Sheen. This heretical attack on the Novus Ordo mass regarding the words of consecration came from Sedevacantism and radical Integrism, both who are in formal and material heresy. This Biblical verse absolutely negates the Sedevecanist and Integrism, both who are in formal and material heresy. This Biblical verse absolutely negates the Sedevecantist and Integrist claim of an invalid consecration. Jesus Christ uses the words "shed for you!" Notice how sacred Scripture interchanges the words "many" and "all" in the following Biblical texts regarding the forgiveness of sins and salvation. In Romans 5:6-8 St. Paul exhorts, "Why did Christ, at the set time, die for the wicked as yet we were weak? For scarcely in behalf of a just man does one die; yet perhaps one might bring himself to die for a good man. But God commends his charity towards us, because when as yet we were sinners, Christ died for us." Here we can see Christ die for all humanity for redemption of the world.

Sacred Scripture absolutely states Christ died for the wicked and for sinners. Romans 3:9 and 1 John 1:8 gives absolute evidence that all men are sinners and one who claims to have no sin deceives himself and the truth is not in him. In 1 Timothy 2:4 God our Savior who wishes all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. Notice God wants all men to be saved.

In 1 Timothy 2:6 Scripture states, "Christ Jesus who gave himself as a ransom for all. Again, notice the words for all. Mark 10 2:6 states, The Son of man also has come not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Hebrews 5:8-9 states, "And he, Son, though he was, learned obedience from the things that he suffered; and when perfected, he became to all who obey him the cause of eternal salvation." Notice that Christ became eternal salvation for all who obey him.

In Hebrews 9:28 Christ offered once to take away the sins of many. In 1 Cor. 15:22 sacred Scripture states, "For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive." Notice in Christ all will be made alive. In 1 John 2:1-2 sacred Scripture gives evidence if anyone sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the just; and he is the propitiation for our sins, not for ours only but also for those of the whole world. This means Jesus Christ is the propitiation for all of mankind's sins. "For all." Acts 2:21 "And it shall come to pass that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. Whoever means all."

Acts 16:31 And they said "Believe on the Lord Jesus, and thou shalt be saved, and thy household. Notice there is no restrictions that who shall believe on the Lord Jesus can be saved. In Luke 13:3-5 Look at the words of Jesus Christ regarding repentance. "I tell you, no, unless you repent, you will all perish."

In Romans 1:5 St. Paul gives affirmative evidence that through Jesus Christ the Lord through whom we have received the grace of apostleship to bring about obedience to faith among all the nations. In Matthew 16:18 Jesus exhorts, "The gates of hell will not prevail against his Church!" In Matthew 28:20 Jesus exhorts, "He will be with his Church unto the consummation of the world." In 1 Timothy 3:15 St. Paul calls the Church "The Pillar and Mainstay of Truth." Yes the Church is the Pillar and Foundation of Truth. Beware of the yeast of the Sedevacantist and the Integrist. Sacred Scripture often interchanges the meaning for many and for all as I just presented in this article. Let us all repent! Repent or we shall likewise perish!

May God Richly Bless You! Amen! Hallelujah!
