A Dream & A Prayer

Here is my dream and my prayer:

May 14, 2009: 40 years to the day Canadian Parliament passed its infamous Omnibus Bill – C-150, legalizing the anti-trinity of homosexuality, abortion, and contraception. (Read about it here.)

All Catholic Bishops of Canada, emboldened by the Holy Spirit, renew and recommit their ministries to the pro-life cause. They collectively pledge to show up on that Day at the March for Life with their flocks from all parts of this nation, and challenge their Orthodox and Evangelical brother bishops and pastors to join them on Parliament Hill as a sign of Christian unity and solidarity to bring down the false god of abortion.

The response to the call is overwhelming as Parliament Hill is overflowing with people, eventually igniting the greatest civil rights struggle Canada has ever had.

Later that evening, Thursday May 14, 2009, at the Cathedral of Notre Dame, the Bishops of Canada issue a full and unqualified endorsement of Humanae Vitae and officially retract their veiled dissent from the Church’s teaching on the transmission of human life.

After this proclamation and accompanied by a pilgrim statue of Our Lady of Fatima, the Catholic faithful and Christians of goodwill follow in solemn Eucharistic procession from the Cathedral to the steps of Parliament Hill for a short benediction and prayers. The flock then return to the Cathedral for all night praise, worship and adoration in thanksgiving for what God has done for our nation.

Lord willing, it might just happen!
